Roger was quite a character, a real "Bermy Bie". He has definitely "gone too soon" and will be missed.

My wife and I first met Roger in the parking lot of L.F. Wade Airport in September 2021. He came to pick us up and bring us to the fabulous Schultz Airbnb. There we had to stay until our Covid tests came back negative. In that time Roger, Honey, Dog and I became good friends watching my New Orleans Saints and his beloved Atlanta Braves while my wife cooked for us. Roger and I have kept in touch via WhatsApp ever since. The week we spent there has never left me and I have wanted to go back ever since!
To Rogers children, he loved you both very much and was very proud of you!
I hope to see you on the other side my friend.

Roger and Honey were instant friends! My wife Susan and I flew to Bermuda for a week during Covid and were holed up at Roger´s place for 72 hrs straight until the tests came in from the government. Needless to say we became instant drinking and sports buddies. My wife cooked for us as Roger, Honey and I watched my New Orleans Saints on TV. " Dog" would come over some nights to watch Roger´s Atlanta Braves also.
I´ve kept in touch with Roger since always hoping to go back and enjoy his hospitality and company. sadly I´ll have to wait a little longer.
Goodbye my friend! Geaux Braves!
Love you Honey!

My husband, David and I met Roger on September 18, 2021 when we stayed at his wonderful bnb. We became instant friends and ate dinner together every night- I cooked! We have kept in close touch with Roger and we have been frantic trying to reach him by phone- he had told us he was ill. We are so sad to read that he has passed. Our deepest sympathy to his family and to Dan. We will miss him and hope Honey is being well taken care of. Susan Denis, Sag Harbor, NY

Wow. I remember Roger from long ago. Buildin/renovating his cottage, lobster hunting, spearfishing. Breeding abassininan cats and labradors. What a life he had.

My condolences to Roger's family. I worked with him many years ago at Heddington Insurance which was located next to the Market Place. He was one of these guys that once you met him you would never forget him! He was so funny he used to call himself "Shaft" and us administrators were Shaffettes!! A great guy and yes he loved to talk smack. RIP Roger!

I have many memories of the best times filled with laughter in the ten years in Bermuda - boating with Roger and amazing friends and Honey - and at the cottage for bbqs and guitar jams, swims, parties and chats. Good times that will never be forgotten.
Very sad you have departed too soon.
Thank you for the good times celebrating life Roger. Kathy D in Mallorca

Very sad to hear this news and sincere condolences to his family.

I appreciated Roger´s good, if irreverent, humor and upbeat manner. He was a `one design´ and will be missed.
