ROLAND SIMONS Obituary

A homegoing service for ROLAND WINSLOW SIMONS of 26 Aerial View Road, Devonshire will be held on Saturday, 19th November at 2pm at St Paul AME Church, 59 Court Street, Hamilton. Interment of ashes to follow the service at St Paul Anglican Church, Paget. Roland is survived by sister Julie Ann Tarrence, nephew Sahid Tarrence, niece Tanika Tarrence of Cleveland, OH, USA and foster son Samuel Sandy of Guyana. Lovingly remembered by godson Lee-Onard Ingram, numerous friends including Cherie Bean and Family, Patricia Morgan, Michael Glasford, The Board of Trustees and Church Family of St Paul AME Church.Roland was predeceased by his parents Ronald W Simons and Beryl Simons (nee Hatherly). In keeping with Roland's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St Paul AME Church (HSBC account # 010-369 007-002). AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory

We just found out on Friday night January 6th/2023 of Roland's passing and would like very much to extend condolences to the family. Roland and I worked together at the Bermuda Commercial Bank during the 1970s and became friends. One could not ask for a nicer person and we will certainly miss him.

At times when I am grieved, I imagine the Lord enveloping me with his strong, caring arms, carefully holding me just like a father holding his child. This, I think, is what it means that God is our refuge and our strength. I pray that this heavenly comfort will be brought to the grieving family and friends of Mr.ROLAND WINSLOW SIMONS today and in the days to come as we mourn this great loss. Even though we have not meet, I feel your love, compassion, wisdom and experience you would have imparted on the one I love. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL, REST IN PEACE .
