Russell and I shared a 60 plus year friendship. We went to primary school together, and later reconnected at Works and Engineering where we worked
together for over 25 years. I hadn't seen him that much since we both retired, periodically in the taxi.

I was privileged to have an opportunity to work with Mr. Wade and many other gifted Engineers within the Ministry of Public Works (Works & Engineering) as student trainee. Mr. Wade and others set a standard of excellence, dedication and professionalism within the Ministry that was inspiring to me as a young person. His example along with other men in the Ministry at that time had a profound impact on me professionally and personally.
He and others during his tenure within the Ministry contributed much to infrastructure of this island.
