Rest in peace cousin Sidney. I was shocked and sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends. My cousin Sidney had a nice, friendly, easy-going personality. I remember whenever I would see him whether it was in church, driving the bus as well as the train or somewhere else we would light up and give each other a shoutout or chat for a bit. Last year I was trying to get some pictures copied of my relatives and I happened to get a picture copied of cousin Sid & my Aunt Glory at Southampton Church ... it's a really nice picture of them. I also remember seeing cousin Sid a while back at the MarketPlace ... we said hello, smiled and wished each other well. It was always nice running into cousin Sidney. Miss and love you cousin Sidney. Till we meet again.

Simmons family, we send our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Bro Sidney. He will be fondly remembered for his friendliness, love of music and helpfulness. Cranston especially has fond memories of their bus driver days.

Sid Simmons has been a special friend for many years from the days of CB radio up until his untimely passing...I had the pleasure of practicing and singing with him before and up until December 18 at Devonshire SDA church in our church cantata..Sid had been a great inspiration to me during my spiritual walk and l will always be grateful to him for his encouraging words...To Sidney Jr...Sonia and Sharon and the entire family as well as the entire Adventist Church families,my sincerest condolences....Breaker-breaker 19 ,rest in peace my good friend....He will be a great miss...He touched so many lives..I believe with all my heart that Sid lived the words of this song...IF I CAN HELP SOMEBODY AS I JOURNEY ON,THAN MY LIVING SHALL NOT BE IN VAIN...I thank him for all his help in my life time of knowing him...God Bless all who are touched by his passing....May your knowledge of him be an inspiration to keep you wanting to meet him again at the 2nd coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ...

Uncle Sid as he was affectionately known was a live wire. Watching him direct the choir and sing praises to God left you in awe. It was a shock to hear of his unexpected passing. Condolences to his children and centurion sister Eleanor "mama D" who he looked out for everyday. May he rest in peace and may God give comfort to his loved ones.

I was in worship at the SDA Southampton and had not been in worship for over 6 months and sat behind Bro. Simmons and was glad to see him as usual and l was glad to see him in service praising the LORD and l was overwhelmed by his presence. But this day 6th Jan l was much distraught in learning of his passing. He was a true man of GOD with a great spirit. To his family l extend my deepest sympathies during your time bereavement. But please know that "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of HIS saints Psalms 116 v 15.And Bro. SIDNEY was a true Saint of GOD. Weeping may endure for a night but JOY comes in the morning. To the Simmons please be strong in the LORD and in the POWER OF HIS AWESOME MIGHT because GOD is truly ABLE. R.I.P. BRO. SIDNEY Simmons.
