To Stevie's Mother, Ruby, Valerie, Cynthia, Linda and the rest of his family,
My deepest condolences to my former neighbors on Glebe Road, Stevie, one of the best Gombey drummers ever, who stood in the shadows of such great ones as Gerald Green, Mr Wilson, Parsons, Sonny Darrell. I truly have missed him on the circuit with his special flavor of drumming. Now he joins the others in Heaven's Gombey Troupe,. Thank you Stevie for your contribution to the Gombey culture and I want the Liburd family to know that he was appreciated and admired by me and I am sure many others who were brought up with the Gombeys and had a chance to witness his great contribution. Top Ranking! May Allah bless you and keep you in his care as you adjust to his physical absence. I know he was well loved by you all and will remain in your hearts forever.

I send a special message to the family of Stephen to offer words of solace and comfort during your time of bereavement as you go through this very trying period.
My heart pours out to you Aunt Alice and I really felt your pain as I held you and took you from the ICU into the family waiting room.
I know it is isn't easy for you right now, but please find comfort by putting your trust in God. You looked at me as I held you and said these words. "My only son has been taken away from me....but he is now in God's hands"...yes Aunt Alice,just remember those words and they will grant you peace.
To the entire family,I leave you with this verse from John 14:1-3
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am"
