Sylvan Musson Obituary

A service celebrating the life of Mr. Sylvan Duerden Musson Sr., husband of the late Nellie E. Musson, father to Mrs. Lillaurie Durousseau (Dr. Wilburn Durousseau), Mrs. Ruby Bowman (Dr. James Bowman), Mr. Sylvan D. Musson Jr., Mrs. Rosclaire Bulgin (Dr. Samuel Bulgin), Dr. Celia-Ann Musson-Nzabalinda (Mr. Onesimus Nzabalinda), Dr. Paul Musson (Teresa), in his 93rd year will be held at the Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church on Friday, January 2nd, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow in St. Paul'''s Cemetery, Paget. Visitation Thursday (January 1st, 2009) at Amis Memorial Chapel, 8 Khyber Pass, Warwick from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ONLY. Also surviving sister Cecile N. Smith; grandchildren L. Kathleen Durousseau-Kovecses Esq., J.D. (Greg Kovecses, Dr. Sharon Durousseau-English (Norman English), Jamieson Bowman Esq. J.D. (Jane), Dr. Claire Bowman, Dr. Rosemary Durousseau, Dr. Lee Bulgin, Joshua Musson Scott, Kourtney Musson-Broden (Akeema Broden), Paul Bulgin, Lillaurie Nzabalinda and Zakary Nzabalinda. Great grandchildren Josephine, Mé¡tyé¡s, Maxwell, Clara and Zion; brother-in-law Pastor Mack Wilson, and numerous other relatives and friends.

I met Sylvan at the Newark NJ air terminal when on the way to Bermuda. His charming personality and hospitality will always be remembered. He hosted lunch in Hamilton for our party the next day and treated us to a visit to his club (I believe it was The Lions Club) and shared some of the history of Bermuda with us.
