My sister has already written, but I feel compelled to write and say that I was shocked to hear of Tim's passing. He and his brother were good mates to my brother and I, living next door as we did for those many years growing up. I am utterly devastated. I have some little idea of how his family and friends feel. This will be a real test of our faith. But go on we must, especially for our children and for our grandchildren. I expect Tim would not have it any other way either. My heartfelt condolences. John Barritt.

Dear Smith family. My condolences on your loss. Tim is a friend as was his brother Freddie. I grew up with Tim doing photography and riding motocross together with our friend Ross Spurling and Donald Drover. Tim was a straight shooter. Always meaning what he said.He will be missing by all that know him. A sad day for all of us.

I was very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. I worked with Tim for several years in Bermuda and found him to be a genuine, honest and tender person. I have often thought of him since I left Bermuda, hoping he was enjoying the retirement he so deserved; he is one of those people who genuinely deserved longer on this earth. You will be missed Tim.

Dear Smith family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband father and grandfather. Please know that my hurt is hurting with you during this time. Your husband, dad, grandpa was one of my very favorite patients. He has been a very supportive and encouraging patient. We had many beautiful talks and time shared on visits to the office, that I will cherish forever. On Friday, we will celebrate 10 years of service as KERIN Oral Care and please know that I am eternally grateful and fondly remember your husband for being a part of my journey. He had a wonderful faith, of which we got to share and talk on many occasions. I am praying for each of you during this time. If there is anything that I can do to help or assist in any way. Please feel free to contact me. Blessings to you all.
My deepest sympathies,
Dr Kianna M Simmons

Diane and Family, I am so sorry and so shocked to hear about Tim's passing.
I worked with Tim for many years at Marsh - we worked together on one of his biggest accounts for over a decade. He was such a good friend to me over my years there, a real straight shooter - with Tim, what you saw was what you got and he said what he meant, no fluff, which I always appreciated. We always joked that we'd resign together because we got on and worked so well together.
Eventually, I did move on to a different company (but Tim was one of the first work colleagues I told about my job offer). After I left Marsh, we lost touch but I'd run into Tim every now and then in town and we'd chat for hours and pick up where we left off, just like old times. He was so proud to be a Papa to Carina and loved you all so very much.
Rest In Peace my friend - you will be missed terribly.

Dear Tim Smith's family

Our family extend our deepest sympathy on the death of Timmy. We were shocked to read this in tody's paper.

I am writing as the big sister' of John and Mark Barritt. I remember well Freddy and Timmy Smith playing with my brothers all of the time. They lived up the hill from Palm Vale and if my brothers weren't up at the Smith's home, they were all down here at Palm Vale. They spent many many happy hours together and I know will remember these times with great fondness.

We pray that in the fullness of time your sadness will be replaced by happy family memories too. May God give you peace to come to terms with this and may Timmy Rest In Peace.

You have many wonderful tributes and we can see Timmy was much loved by his friends and acquaintences. A life well lived and loved.

Our deepest condolences, Jennifer Johnson, John and Mark Barritt

Diane & Family, My sincere condolences. This is truly a shock to me. I worked with Tim at CIGNA for many years and every time I saw Tim it was like we were still colleagues working together. He never forgot all his friends and always talked about our time working together. Most recently how he was enjoying retirement and his grandchildren. I was so happy for him. He was the same always when we met, a smile on his face and a kind word. He was a nice, nice guy and I'll miss bumping into him and having our chats. He will be missed.
