Mickey was a super guy....an icon in the Village loved by all...He was a reason to stop in just to say 'HI' at the Menswear...l have summer suits l purchased from him over 20 years ago that l still wear yearly...Jen and Elizabeth,your dad will be a tuff act to follow...a real Gem of a man....May he rest in peace..I pray the God of Heaven hold you all close to His heart as you journey on in his absence...jcs

Dear Jennifer and ELizabeth,
I am so sorry to hear this news. I have such fond memories of my first job at Kit and Caboodle as a teenager, working for Mickey on Saturdays and summer holidays. He was not only great fun, he was kind but firm and taught me so much. No one was allowed to use the "change" button on the cash register - "you count that change back to the customer!" He not only taught me the value of a good work ethic, but entrusted me with responsibilities I didn't realise I was ready for. I will always remember his love for all of you as well - family was always the most important. I hope your memories and those of others posted here will comfort you in this difficult time. God bless,

When we moved in across the street, Mickey proved to be the epitome of a good neighbour. From giving us fresh produce from his garden, offering us gardening tips (we needed them), and listening to us carolling at his door (off tune). We are so happy to have had 10 years to get to know him. He has touched our hearts with his kind, gentle spirit. He cannot be replaced. Our condolences to the family. - The Burchs, Smiths

I can't believe that just the other day we were sending him birthday wishes. I didn't see Mickey much any more since I moved away, but he was always a special person to me, Gino and our family. I spoke to him just after Marsha passed, and he asked me how I did it, I told him to always talk to her and to tell her goodnight every night. He is with Marsha now. I will miss knowing that he is no longer with us. Big, long hugs for his family. Love you Mickey.

So terribly sorry to read of Mickey's passing... Bermuda has indeed lost a genuine and kind individual. I kept planning to stop in to see Mickey on one of my infrequent trips to Bermuda - so glad we finally connected again earlier this year.
