Imagine....early 70's having Sean Sheehan as duty Inspector.....Willie Woods as watch Sergeant and big Mike Parris as the station Constable....and you are the rookie(cadet) on the watch...What a gang who had so many stories.....I will ever remember Sgt Woods having served under him even during the situation at Government House...It was a learning experience which although very demanding at the time helped to shape my Police career....I am proud to say thanks to a man who knew his job and taught me a lot about being a Policeman....To his entire family,my sincerest condolences....May he rest in eternal peace....jcs..ex180

Sorry to learn of the passing of Willie Woods, who arrived in Bermuda the same day as myself. Although we did not stay in close contact his daughter Christina became a good family friend through swimming with Harbour Swim Club.

Sorry to hear of the passing of my good friend Willie. He was one of my first Sergeants in the BPS when I arrived in Bermuda in 1973. He was a very knowledgeable man and had a wry sense of humor. His stories were legends and he always made his listeners laugh when he related a tale or two. My condolences to his family and close friends. RIP.
