WILMA JEAN RAY

The family of WILMA JEAN RAY (DILL SHERLOCK), daughter of the late Violet Gertrude Elizabeth Jefferis (née Dill), announces her peaceful passing on September 8th, 2025, in her 90th year. Born August 3rd, 1935, she was the beloved mother of the late Edwin Sherlock, the late Leonard Sherlock, Ervin Sherlock, and Merelda (née Sherlock), wife of Frederick Creech.She leaves to cherish her memory her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren Wilma, Charles, Tyrone, Donovin, Ervin, Porsche-Sherlock, Latresa, Latoya, Terrell Lily, and Kenyata Heir. She is also survived by her sisters Winifred Castellanus and Balerie Lowe, and stepbrother Richard Jefferis. She was predeceased by her brothers Wilfred (Curly) Dill and Ronald Jefferis, and sisters Gladys Williams, Christine Robinson, Ianthea Williams, and Louise Swan.She will be fondly remembered by her immediate family and dear friends Norbert and Judy Stance, Marionette Wolffe, Archie O'Brien, Craig and Dionne Pearman, and many more in her spiritual family.
