Mr Kay. What a lasting impression you left on me with your french classes. Loved them! You were ahead of your time in terms of teaching engagement and pupil relationships. Also a pleasure to (briefly) know you outside of school, my dad, Bernie Brock, taking me to the pub before football and having a few drinks with you, Jim(Earle) and Clive(Thompson).
RIP Alan!

Mr Kay

nous avons.... vous avez... ils ont... elles ont"
Always helps when I need it, you'd be disgusted with Google Translator now.
Fond memories of your classroom like no other. Plants, french artifacts, chanting pupils - a teacher we often speak about in our 1986 HM reunion group, with fond fun memories.
God bless

Rest in peace Mr Kay only seems like yesterday you were telling us something at school not 20 odd years ago. You were a brilliant teacher and am sure you will carry in sharing your wisdom wherever you are

I taught with Alan for many years, both at Haling Manor and Croydon College. We had many laughs (and drinks) together. A great friend and teacher. I can't believe he has gone.
