Cocker Derek - In hospital on October 23, 2011 aged 83 years. Devoted husband of Dorothy, loving father to Pamela , Stephen and Amanda, also a much loved Grandad and Great Grandad. Funeral Service to take place on Wednesday November 2 at Grenoside Crematorium, South Chapel at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only please , donations in lieu for The British Heart Foundation may be given on the day. OUR DEAR DEPARTED DAD You were married to our mum for over sixty years Everyone who knew you will shed a few sad tears Such a kind and gentle man, a loving and caring dad We are all so grateful for the love that we have had You loved our mum so dearly; our time on earth is brief Your spirit will be with our mum, to comfort her in grief We will miss your humour, your smile and lovely ways We will always remember you, for the rest of our days You helped so many people, you cared for others so We are proud to have known you; it's hard to let you go Your time with us is over now, it was meant to be Your suffering has gone; your soul has been set free Love you always Dad from daughter Pamela and Partner Sandy xx

To a special Dad - Derek Cocker
Words cannot describe the loss we feel now that you are gone but you will live on in our hearts forever.
You were a proud and clever man always there to give us advice to get us through those hard times in our lives and made us laugh through the good times with your special sense of humour.
You loved to keep busy around the house and garden and lovingly looked after mum too and proudly celebrated your Diamond Wedding Anniversary together on 23rd December 2010. A very special day for us all.
You battled your illness bravely every day but in the end your body was just too tired.
We seek comfort knowing you will be still be watching over us and protecting us as you did in life.
