Cec, along with Leo, my oldest, longest pal. Far too memories to share on here and most of them would be censored anyway. Things were different in the 70's. Magical memories back at the Penny Black ( for those who don't know, Daves dad was landlord from day it opened ),
Hope your pain has gone and maybe someday we'll meet again, love you pal

To me you'll always be just Cec, a loveable laughable guy. We didn't see one another for donkeys years, but luckily Leo got us all back in touch. We all had some great times in our youth and I will never forget that. Treasured memories indeed.
My condolences to all your family and immense respect for your brave fight and the support you had from all your loved ones.
Rest now my friend.

Rewritten to hopefully pass review - Thanks
Hey Cec, we met on our first day of school at Sharrow Lane infant school in 1964 about a 100 years ago! We've been proper soul-heart-friends ever since, even when we've had physical distance between us because of me leaving Sheffield in 1982. We always kept in touch, and always met up on my trips back!
Remember when you broke your arm when me, you and Haggis were recklessly riding the monkey bumps in the woods across from Millhouses Park when we were about 12 years old? Even though you were crying because of the severe pain of the break and you had to ride home one handed to receive medical treatment, Haggis and me could not contain our laughter (even though we tried our best to) because of the comical way you took off over one of the jumps and landed in a crumpled heap! Those types of silly memories are very precious now!
Years later when we were about 18 years old, me, you, Paul Bloomer and later, Lawrence Kolade, moved to Willoughby Street at Page Hall as a house share. I couldn't possibly share those memories here, needless to say, we all thoroughly enjoyed our misspent youth ; )
We were life-long friends, and I will always remember you with love, laughter, affection, and respect.
You're gone too soon my friend! I loved you in life, and I'll love you until the day I die. Sleep now, Cec, your journey is complete.
David Coldwell AKA "Cec" - You worked hard and you played hard. You were loved by many! You reciprocated the love and you left your mark! I was proud to be your friend. 27/06/1959 - 21/01/2019 - R.I.P
