John Robert Passed away peacefully in hospital on August 29th 2021, aged 69 years.

John was Secretary of Handsworth over 35 football club and a good friend for many years. On our allotments always interested in how the family was keeping A top man will be sadly missed. John Thacker

I have an allotment at Handsworth where John had his. I first met John on there and after a short conversation realised we were both from Shiregreen and his brothers went to school with mine. We spent many an hour reminiscing and John was always upbeat and cheerful. I will miss those moments and will treasure them . What an all round good guy John will be sadly missed by me
