Baddon. Ellen (Ilid) aged 83 years of Colby, unexpectedly after a sudden illness on Wednesday 17th September 2025 at Hospice Isle of Man. Beloved wife of the late Robert, dearly loved mother of Beverley, David, Sarah and Justin, granny of Michael, Steven, Gemma, Lewis, Iona, Indigo, Fraser, Campbell, Hamish, Lochie, Charlie and Ossie a much loved great granny of Eve, Aimee, Lily, Erin, Rudy and Margot, loved sister of Beth, Sophia, Nena and Ed, sister in law of Andrew and auntie of Christopher, Charles, Ann, Jen and Tesni. Ilid will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends, having gone too soon, she had so many plans. Funeral service will be held at Colby Methodist Chapel at 11.30am on Friday 17th October 2025. No flowers by request, donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to Hospice Isle of Man, Strang, Braddan, IM4 4RP. Enquiries please to T.S.Keggen & Son Ltd. Ellen Ilid was my sister and I hope that hs eis now at peace, no more pain.
She was brought up in Caernarvon, North Wales and started in the bank in Cardiff, where she met Robert, who was then going out to Jamaica. She went out to meet him and they married there. Later they came back and settled in Oban, beofr moving again to the Isle of Man.

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of Ilid passing away. We feel devastated. We knew her and Robert for 43 years and were very attached to them. They even came to our wedding in 1986 in France. We also visited them many times in Oban, Tenerife and last time was June 2024, in Colby, IOM. We keep very fond memories of both of them. We send our deepest sympathy to their family.

Ellen, my sweet dear dolly, left this world at 83, but her warmth and spirit linger in my heart forever. We first crossed paths in 1973, working side by side, sharing laughs and dreams in those bustling days. Though time and distance kept us apart in later years, every reunion felt like slipping back into a cherished rhythm-her kindness, her spark, unchanged. Ellen had a way of making you feel seen, her gentle soul a quiet gift to all who knew her. I miss her terribly, but her memory dances on, as vibrant and dear as ever. Rest in peace, my sweet dolly. Condolences to all of the family circle.
