Howard "Gene" Blaker

Howard E. “Gene” Blaker, 76, of Union, Kentucky, died on Monday, September 8, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence. 

Gene was born on July 2, 1949, in Covington, to the late William and Mary (Beall) Blaker. He retired from Dudley Construction after 47 years of loyal service as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Foreman. Gene received his Associates Degree from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky. 

He was a former member of the Hebron Fire Department and an EMT and a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Dutchman’s Rod and Gun Club. Gene was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan and he enjoyed fishing. 

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd William; sisters, Marian Rogers and Ann Clifton; and brothers, Jim Blaker and William Blaker. 

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Sandusky) Blaker; sons, Christopher Mark, Timothy Justin, Thomas Michael and Troy Albert; sister, Betty Ruth French; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation is 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Burlington.
