BLACKSHAW Professor Rod. Peacefully at home on 24 August 2023. Beloved husband of Ursula and father of Sínéad and Connor. Sadly missed by grandchildren Cole, Alexandra and Katherine and all the family. Funeral 12.15pm on Tuesday 19th September at Macclesfield Crematorium, burial at 1.45pm at Wilmslow cemetery. It is a great lost. Rod was my PhD supervisor and he was an outstanding supportative man. I came from syria to a new country and culture, but he made me feel that I'm at home. It is hard to say goodbye Rod. Rest in peace.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Rod´s passing, we shared some difficult times towards the end of Seale Hayne but always managed a smile and a conspiratorial giggle. RIP Rod.
