James John Maxim

James  John Maxim (Llandrindod Wells) Passed away in the early hours of Sunday 25th May after a brief stay in Hereford Hospital aged 83 years. A much loved Father to Pree, Davy and Fiona and Grandfather to Elijah, Joshua, Maia and Isla.   A veteran organiser of the original Stonehenge Free Festivals and later took his beloved van across Europe as part of the Peace Walk to end the Yugoslavia war. He was gentle and kind-natured and lived life on his own terms, holding onto his principles with courage. He was born in Guildford but later learned he was adopted. His ancestors came from the village of Finsthwaite in the Lake District. Funeral Service at The Old Parish Church, Llandrindod Wells, Saturday, 14th June 2025 at 1.00pm All who knew him are very welcome.
