Passed away peacefully in
The Prince of Wales Hospice with
his loving family by his side, on the 1st December 2025, aged 91 years.
The beloved husband of the late Jean Bird, a precious dad to Alison and John, a dearly loved grandad of Steven, Charlotte & Andrew, a cherished great grandad to Nancie & Maddison, a respected and loved father in law of Diane and the late Stephen also a dear brother law to Alan. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The funeral will take place on Monday 5th January with service at Pontefract Crematorium at 12.20pm. Family flowers by request only please. Donations will be gratefully in aid of The Prince of Wales Hospice. The family invite all attending to join them after
the service for refreshments to
The Kingscroft Hotel.
