A GREAT MAN
The world was robbed of a great man on that fateful day. His memory though will live on in the Submarine World for all eternity. A friend and a colleague who was destined for greater things, with a wife and Family who adored him. RIP old friend.

A wonderful cousin.
Ian, It was a privilege to have shared with you what little time you had on this earth and to have looked upon you with respect and pride. You achieved so much in your short life but your best accomplishments are you 4 beautiful children and in each of them I see you. I keep expecting to see you looking dapper in your uniform at the next special family occasion, it still seems surreal that that is never going to happen again but I know you are watching us from heaven and sharing stories with Gran. I will miss you all my life and love you from the bottom of my heart. Good night and God Bless our fallen Hero! You were and still are an inspiration to us all. xxx

IN HONOUR
Ian was a highly professional, respected and supportive Naval Officer, Colleague and Friend; someone you could trust to confide in and always receptive to new ideas. Mindful of those around him and blessed with a fantastic attitude and sense of humour, he inspired those who worked with him and his loss may be tragic but his memory will live on. Above all, he was a devoted family man and spoke of you all in the Mess frequently. God Bless.
