MR J. W. COLLIER
(of Creswell)
Mr Joseph William Collier of Model Village has passed away after a long illness at Bassetlaw Hospital, aged 71.
Joe was the dear brother of Dorothy, Barbara, Maureen and Ray and the late Brenda.
Born and educated in Creswell, Joe had been a resident in the village all his life and was a coal miner at Creswell Colliery for 34 years.
In his younger days he enjoyed playing snooker and darts and later on spent time watching television and listening to music. A loving family man, Joe always took an interest where his family were concerned especially with his nephews and nieces and their children.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev June Palmer on 18th January 2013 at St Mary Magdalene Church, Creswell and was followed by burial at Creswell Cemetery.

Siddall), Mr and Mrs N. Wooliscroft (representing Nathan), C. White (representing Olivia), Mr R. Roberts, Mr and Mrs D. Heavey (representing K. Ledger and T. Holmes), Mrs B. Kitts (representing S. Kitts), Mr W. A. Dick (representing V. Dick and R. Norton), Mr and Mrs W. G. Spooner, G. Smith, G. Jenkins, B. Green, Mr and Mrs A. J. Smith, Mr and Mrs C. Smith, Mr and Mrs Pirett.
Arrangements were by J. Clay Funeral Director, Elmton Road, Creswell.
