PAWSON Stuart Of Fairburn and
well known local Crime Writer, died in hospital on February 25th 2016, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Doreen, loved brother of Sheila and a very dear uncle. Service and cremation to take place at Pontefract Crematorium on Friday, March 11th at 2.20 pm. Will friends please accept this intimation. No black clothing preferred. Family flowers only, donations please, for Parkinson's UK, may be kindly left in the box provided at the Crematorium.
Now resting in the Private Chapel of Charles E. Ashton & Son, Glass Houghton, Tel. Castleford 552265.

I have just found Stuarts books and wish that i had found them long ago, you made me smile so many times sitting here on my own at 85 that is something i can tell you. Sorry that i am too late to tell you myself how i am unable to put them down.

Like a fellow reader i have only just discovered about the untimely dead of Stuart. My fav author , and will remain so. His books stand proud in my bookcase as testament to the enjoyement he gave me.

Only just found out the sad news although I have been searching Amazon constantly for a new Stuart Pawson book for months. No other detective series has the humour of Charlie Priest, I will miss that. RIP Mr. Pawson ..Glenys, Ontario.

Only recently discovered his Charlie Priest books - they are a joy to read and left me wanting more. My husband is now devouring them. So sorry to hear of his death. He will be missed for his wonderful style and sense of humour.
