ALAN Died peacefully in Harrogate District Hospital on June 14th 2011 aged 80 after a short illness. Beloved father of Fiona and Paul.
Service to take place at Stonefall Crematorium Harrogate on Monday June 27th at 11.40 a.m.

Yorkshire Film Archive pays its respects to Alan Sidi
Among Alan Sid's many enthusiasms was the making of films. Over a long period Alan made many very competent films, often with Leeds Mercury Movie Makers. He was also very innovative, inventing a device for synchroning sound to 16 mm film. He left his large collection of films to the Yorkshire Film Archive, some of which can be seen at YFA Online – see for example 8 o'clock Special and the accompanying Context. His bubbly self will be missed by all those who met him.
