Peacefully at home on 25th October 2025, aged 83 years.
Beloved husband of Shelagh,
father of Richard, Tim and Katie and poppa to Will, Libby, Xander,
Freddie, Henry and Alice.
Successful in business in the chemicals and furniture industry for over 40 years, a resident of Nun Monkton village, near York.
Latterly, John and Shelagh
relocated to Rock, Cornwall.
A keen sailor and driver of classic cars.
He leaves behind many friends from all of his various walks of life. Remembered for his kindness, diverse interests and pioneering spirit.
Truly, an inspiration.
Funeral service to be held at
St Mary's Church, Nun Monkton, on Thursday 13th November at 11.00am, and afterwards at The Alice Hawthorn. Black with a touch of joy.
