Peter Anthony Frank

Born 24th August 1935.
Died 4th October 2025, aged 90.
Anthony was a much-loved
husband, father, grandfather
and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elisabeth, to whom he was devoted.
His son Andrew and daughter-in-law Melanie, his daughter Alison,
and his grandchildren and their partners – Christine and David, and Michael and Jess – will miss him dearly.
Anthony had two great-granddaughters – Rory (7) and Indy (4).
A resident of Collingham for many years, Anthony was very community-minded and did much for the village, including serving on the Parish Council and being a key player on behalf of Collingham and Linton in the acquisition of the Glebe Field in 2000.
A retired Chartered Surveyor,
Anthony was also an Auctioneer and a past Director and President of the Leeds Permanent Building Society. A real career highlight saw him successfully purchasing historic statues on behalf of Fountains Abbey estate to keep them in the Ornamental Grounds at the Abbey. Additionally, he served as a Magistrate at Leeds for several years.
Anthony was a keen and talented golfer in his youth and was proud to have been a lifetime member of
Alwoodley Golf Club.
