Mr Robson was my inspiration at Cundall Manor school. He was a brilliant maths and science teacher and a brilliant father figure. He would often take us 8-12 year olds out on day trips on Sundays. He didn't have to. It was his day off but he enjoyed taking us kids out of our normal curriculum.
Of all the teachers I've had from 4 to 18 years old, Peter Robson was absolutely the best. Chucked into boarding school at 8 years old, he became my father.

Peter taught me at Cundall Manor from the late '60s to early 70's. He was a wonderful teacher and a great role model, my favourite teacher. I always thought he was older because I think his hair went grey early in life. I remember him playing the piano with abandon - he told me he was self taught. We met again at a School reunion about ten years ago - mid 00's. A kind and lovely man. God bless you.

Peter was my beloved cousin and doted on my children, conducting many of the same chemistry experiments that his Uncle William Robinson Grist used to try out with a young Peter. A gentleman from another era, whose Great Great Grandfather designed and built much of Victorian Scarborough. Much loved and missed, particularly by Gabriel Romeo and Hermione Robson-Stern.
