I will always remember Alan´s kindness and warmth from the time I was a lodger at his family home by the river. He was always so welcoming - even though my parents couldn´t speak the language, he showed them such genuine kindness and hospitality.
My partner David and I had the privilege of visiting Alan earlier this year, and we were both deeply moved by his incredible life stories and his unwavering optimism. I am so sorry to say goodbye to Alan - he will always be fondly remembered by us.

Sorry for your loss. My late Terry husband often spoke of him with regards to Judo.
