Charles Reed Obituary

Charles William "Bill" Reed 1938 – 2025 Charles William "Bill" Reed, of St. Marys, West Virginia, passed away surrounded by family in Ocala, Florida. Bill was born at home in St. Marys on October 5th 1938 to loving parents Charles and Mary. Bill graduated from St. Marys High School in 1956 and went on to build a life grounded in love, faith, and dedication to his family. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Charles Reed; mother, Mary V. Reed; grandparents, Port and Ethyl Jones; aunt, Ruth Jones; and infant children, Mark and Penny Reed. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mary Lee Reed; his children, Bill Reed and his wife Kristen and her daughter Cali Smith, Burt Reed and his wife Sandy as well as Bill's two sisters Margaret Dye and Wanda Knowlton. Bill was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren - Morgan Meadows and spouse Jordan, Brooke Carozzas and husband Joe (as well as Morgan and Brooke's mother Lesia Reed), Garrison Reed and wife Samantha, Eliana Reed, Brodric Reed, and great-granddaughter Cassia Meadows. He also deeply cherished his extended family and many dear friends who enriched his life through the years. Bill's life was defined by his quiet strength, steady faith, and unwavering love for his family. He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.
