Dan Bacich Obituary
He was born on April 7th, 1935 in Kukljica, Croatia where he lived for 25 years before immigrating to the United States of America, making Santa Clara his home for the next 50 years. He was divorced and then remarried to his devoted wife, Bernadette, on October 27th, 2006 and together they shared over eighteen years of marriage. He worked as a cabinet maker in Croatia and worked as a carpenter in San Jose, CA. He later got his contractor license and built custom homes, retiring in 1993.
Dan will be fondly remembered for his love of serenading his family and friends with traditional Croatian songs, his passion for playing bocce ball, and as a dedicated fan of the Croatian soccer team, Hajduk Split.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette, his son Neven, his daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Jessica and Madeline, cousin Mirko, and mladen Bacic in Croatia and his first cousin Rozaria Sutich in New York.
There will be a funeral service offered on July 7th, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM, with a visitation occurring one hour prior at 11 AM to 12 PM at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens at 2 PM.

Dan was such a good friend. kind, always offered a helping whenever he sees someone needed help. He loves to joke, very enthusiastic, very clean and neat. He loves cat and dogs .
Dan loves soccer sports he would trade you for soccer game whenever it is on shows how passionate he was with the game. Dan also was very proud croatian native, love his language and his country. He would always say, “ 3 countries i Love; America, Croatia and Israel.”
When he does something he want to make sure it is right on, when it is wood he want to make the wood is smooth not rough. if it is rough he would patiently sand it until it smoothen up to his satisfaction not somebody elses. He was the man who will not give anyone satisfaction.
People love him as a man of many words Dan just loves conversations.
I will miss him terribly.
