I was saddened to hear earlier today about Gordie's passing. He was one former coworker who I thought would live forever. We worked hard but we also enjoyed sharing the same office in the early 2000's. It was during this time that I also got to know Gordie's bride, Mary, who was always so kind to me. RIP Gordie!

"The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof."
- Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

Dear Mary,

This quote captures how much you and Gordie meant to us...you took us in. You saved me and brought me to meet Judi and then become a part of the PAO family. Little did I know then how much impact you and my new found family would have on our lives and the lives of so many! In your 50 years of marriage it was unmistakable the respect and love you and Gordie shared for each other and how freely you showered those around you in that love. A love that was authentic, empathetic, kind and most of all, caring for others well being.

Dr. Maya Angelou shared that it is not what people do for you but how they made you feel. You and Gordie always made sure that people felt seen and included--thank you! You also appreciated the nuances of humans that at times made them a bit difficult to love and loved us anyway.

In this difficult time, I have no magic words nor a way to make this less painful or to ease the loss. Just hugs. And we see you and are grateful for you and Gordie.

And as we shared once when Gordie got the car of his dreams (a dark blue Mercedes convertible coup with tan interior--Jersey Boy Makes Good and he married up;-0)

With all our love, peace and admiration
Donny & Trisha Weber

P.S. Here are some photos. Memories of many BSO concerts for 4th of July and a wedding for Bronwin and Josh. This is how we will always remember you....fun and smiling and loving life.
