Johnny was more than just an uncle - he was a constant presence, a quiet hero in our everyday lives. Always ready to lend a hand, he stepped in without hesitation, whether it was helping pack up our things when we moved to St. Pete or patiently sitting beside me as I learned to drive. I´ll never forget the day I got my license - not just because I passed, but because he was there, letting me use his car, cheering me on the whole way.
He had a gift for making people laugh, even during life´s tougher moments. His storytelling - short, sharp, and always on point - could light up a room and lift a heavy heart. He had this way of weaving humor into anything, turning even the most ordinary memories into something unforgettable.
Holidays were his time to shine - especially when food was involved. He loved it all and wasted no time digging in. While others were still finding their seats, his plate would already be clean. In a family gathering of 23 to 25 people, that was a talent in itself.
A true Miami sports fan, he never missed a chance to root for the Dolphins or the Marlins. If there was a game and a way to get there, you could bet he was going - and likely bringing someone along for the ride.
He was a helper, a teacher, a storyteller, a fan, and above all, a kind and generous soul. His impact on our lives can´t be measured, only felt - in the laughs we still share, the lessons we carry forward, and the love he gave so freely. We´ll miss him deeply, but his spirit will always be part of us.
May you be at peace now and be joined by your other family members.
