Joyce Justin Obituary

Joyce Sylvia Justin (née Macejak), age 85, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, in Lady Lake, Florida. Born on September 9, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Joyce lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Joyce was the beloved wife of Robert Joseph Justin, with whom she shared a lifetime of adventure, partnership, and joy. Together, they built a beautiful family and made countless cherished memories traveling and taking their children and grandchildren on unforgettable trips. A proud mother and grandmother, Joyce is survived by her children: Robert (Andrea), Randy (Dawn), Jill (Joseph), and Jenna. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Eric, Michael, Lindsey, Anthony, Samantha, Katie, Stephanie, Ryan, and Jessica. Joyce was the dear sister of Steven Macejak and the daughter of Jaromila Manning and Thomas Macejak. Professionally, Joyce worked as a Human Resources Manager for Corn Products from 1977 until her retirement in 1997. Her commitment to excellence and care for people made her a respected leader and colleague. Remarkably, she returned to school later in life to earn her bachelor's degree-just one of many examples of her determination and strength. She was also the valedictorian of her graduating class at Jones Commercial High School. Joyce had a zest for life. She loved playing pinochle and card games with friends and family, and she never missed an opportunity to cheer on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. She had a signature way of keeping game nights lively-if you ever tried to pick up a card you had already played, she would gently scold with a smile: "A card laid is a card plaid." Her warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her. She had a joyful presence and a signature phrase-"Yes, yes, yes!"-that captured her spirit and still echoes in the hearts of those she loved. Above all, Joyce will be remembered for her boundless love, her giving nature, and her deep dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and joy. At this time, no funeral or memorial details have been finalized. The family invites those who knew Joyce to honor her memory by living with the same kindness and enthusiasm she brought into the world every day.

In loving memory of Joyce-
A bright light with a bold laugh, quick wit, and the kind of generous spirit that made everyone feel welcome. She loved deeply, lived joyfully, and knew how to turn even the simplest card game into a treasured moment.

To the family, I´m deeply sorry for your loss. I know how suddenly this happened, and I can only imagine how heavy it feels. Please know I´m holding you in my thoughts, and I believe that Joyce´s spirit and the love she gave so freely will carry you through together.

With heartfelt sympathy,
Candace

To my lake family,
We are so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. She was such a lovely lady with a big smile, kind words and great wisdom. I always looked forward to seeing her and spending deck time with her. She raised a wonderful family whose tight knit ties are her legacy. It was a true blessing to know her and stay in touch for so many years at the lake. God bless you all in this difficult time. You all are in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Barb and Joe
