Born March 22, 1956, Laurie is predeceased by: parents: Gerald W. Merrick and Phyllis C. Merrick; brothers, Gerald W. Merrick, Jr.; Sister, Lee Hart Merrick. Laurie Willis is survived by Gregory A. Willis of McIntosh, FL, Sisters: Polly Merrick Haines, Altoona, Wanda Heim Page, Umatilla; Candy Heim Mills (Jimmy), Bassville Park; Pat Heim Harrison (Tom), Brooksville, FL; brothers: Jimmy Heim, Hinesville, GA; George (Odette) Heim Luxembourg; Walter (Pete) Heim (Jan), Eustis; Bob Heim, East Liverpool, OH; many nephews, Nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, close friends, and UHS '74 graduates.
Laurie was extremely devoted to her Lord, husband, Greg, her family, her church and the town of McIntosh, FL.
A memorial service will be scheduled at the First Baptist Church of McIntosh at a later date.

Laurie was a fixture at North Marion Middle School during her time here and will be deeply missed. Her infectious smile and kindness made even our worst days better. We are all saddened by her passing, but she will remain in our hearts and memories for the rest of our lives. With deepest sympathies.

AKA our McIntosh angel. Laurie was the heart and sole of our Christian community. A trusted sole with a heart as big as god allowed. Coordinator between our 5 churches always having an ear on the ground for anyone needing prayers or comforting bowl of soup. She glowed at Christmas in the love of God, Her chocolate chip cookies delivered in stealth with her and Greg , laughing at another delivery. Love you !
