Willie Hamm Obituary
Willie Howard Hamm, 90 years of age, of Citra, Florida, passed away on October 27th, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Ocala to Willie Dalton Hamm and Wilma Virginia Thomas Hamm on August 23, 1935. Howard joined the Army National Guard and served one and a half years. He was a Corporal in the Marines for five years and was in the infantry in Kaneohe, Hawaii and also Nara, Japan. He was a carpenter/builder by trade. He owned and operated F&H Hamm Builders, Inc. for the most part of his career before retiring at the age of 62 in 1997. He was involved in his local church ministries throughout his lifetime and was a member of the Fort McCoy Church of God for the past 12 years. Howard loved gardening, fishing and hunting.
Howard is survived by his wife, Wanda Hamm of 68 years; his son, Jody Hamm (wife, Carrie), son Cecil Hamm (wife, Melinda), daughter, Sarita Hamm-Gamm (husband, Gary), son, Andrew Hamm of South Carolina, and daughter, Theresa Matthews (husband, Michael) of Alabama; brothers: Robert Hamm, Charles Hamm, Jeffrey Hamm and sisters: Virginia Findley, Evangeline Cannady, Melody Downs, and 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Dalton Hamm, his mother, Wilma Virginia Hamm, and brothers, Hardy Hamm, Jesse Hamm, and Dalton Hamm.
Viewing will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Roberts Of Ocala Funeral and Cremation, 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, FL at 10:30am with Kinnith Findley officiating. Prior to service, visitation will be held from 9:30am to 10:30am. Burial to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala, FL
Howard was a loving husband, a caring father to his children and his priorities were Faith, Family and Country.
