Richard Keyser Obituary

Richard A. Keyser, 76, of Ithaca, NY, passed away at his home on February 18, 2025. Born on March 1, 1948, in Cobleskill, NY, he was the son of the late Kermit and Marilyn Keyser.
Richard studied Plant Sciences at Cornell University after graduating from cobleskill HS in 1966 and began his career working for Guernsey's Schoharie Nurseries in Schoharie, NY. Later, he returned to Ithaca, where he worked as an Independent Distributor for the Syracuse Post Standard.
A lifelong music enthusiast and dedicated sports fan, Richard found great joy in following his favorite teams and sharing his love of music with those around him. He cherished time spent with his nieces, nephews, and their families, creating lasting memories with them.
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brother, Peter Keyser. He is survived by his sister Elaine Ambrosiani(Michael) of Mt. Vernon, OH, sister Shirley Wallace(Jack) of Booneville, KY, extended family, including his beloved nieces and nephews.
Bangs Funeral Home of Ithaca will handle cremation services. Family and friends are invited to share memories of Richard on the Bangs website. His ashes will be interred at the family plot in Schoharie during a private family service.
