Christina Carter Obituary

Christina Rose Carter, age 34, of Hayesville, North Carolina, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, October 18, 2025. She suffered a severe allergic reaction to a bee sting. Her passing has left an unimaginable heartache in those who loved her so deeply. Even though her life was cut far too short, Christina lived each day to the fullest. She was beautiful inside and out - fearless, vibrant, determined, and kind. Christina never met a stranger and brought light wherever she went. She was always ready for a challenge, never took no for an answer, and lived her life boldly and without fear. Full of adventure, laughter, and warmth, her love and compassion surpassed most, and her presence made every space brighter. Christina's heart was also full of love for her dogs, who were truly part of her family. Her gentle Mastiff, Ariel, was her first baby and constant companion for many years. She is survived by her beloved Mastiffs, Jasmine and Raffaele, who were her joy and comfort, and who will carry her love and spirit. Christina was also a dedicated and accomplished professional who poured her energy and intellect into helping others. She earned her Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from Western Carolina University and her Bachelor of Science (BS) from East Tennessee State University. Known by her colleagues for her integrity, intelligence, and collaborative spirit, Christina led with compassion and inspired those around her to reach their best. She will be remembered as a brilliant leader, a loyal teammate, and a trusted friend. Christina is preceded in death by her beloved father, Jerry Carter, who passed away two years ago after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving mother, Rosemary Carter; her sisters, Rebecca Phillips (husband Justin) and Julie Harrison (husband Ben); and her cherished nieces and nephews - Emsley, Madeline, James, and Levi - who adored their Aunt "CC" and will forever carry her joy in their hearts. Christina was raised in the spirit of community and family, surrounded by people who loved her deeply. She was especially grateful for the guidance and support of her Uncle Raymond and Aunt Joyce, and for the friendship and care of Lisa Wheeler and Patty Wilson, who were like family to her. Christina's family and friends will remember her for her kindness, strength, and the fearless way she embraced life. Her deep faith in Christ was her foundation, and she lived with a heart full of grace and gratitude. She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and joy that will never fade. A celebration of life will be held (location and time pending). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry or Cane Corso Rescue of NC. Though her life was far too short, her laughter, determination, and love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
