Jarid Valentin Obituary
Jarid was employed over the years as a Direct Support Professional at various organizations, most recently, Lexington Center in Johnstown, NY.
Jarid was an accomplished and talented guitarist in the Capital District area. He had been a member of various bands that included "Valkyrie" and the "Alaskan." Above all, his heart and his being was his daughter Sophie. He lived for her and it was his greatest joy to be her father. All paths led to Sophie for him always.
He is survived by his parents Eddie Valentin of Fonda and Patricia Brahler Valentin of Fort Johnson, NY; his beloved daughter Sophie Valentin of Fort Johnson, NY; a brother, Michael Valentin and sister, Hailey Valentin; aunts and uncles, Henry (Christina) Brahler, Lisa (Bob) Zabo, Ruth Valentin, Becky Valentin, and Jeralyn "Bobby" Valentine; nephews, Jonathan and Aiden Valentin; his maternal grandmother, Gwendolyn "Gwen" Raczynski; several cousins also survive.
Jarid is predeceased by his grandparents, Jose and Victoria Valentin; his cherished grandfather Anthony M. Racynski, and his aunt Nancy DeJesus.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam, NY 12010. Please visit Jarid's tribute at www.roseandhughesfh.com
