Lloyd B. Marsh IV

Lloyd Bertram Marsh IV, 54, of Fletcher, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 29, 2025. Born on March 8, 1971, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, Lloyd lived a life defined by generosity, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family. Lloyd attended the University of Arizona, where he earned a degree in finance. After graduation, he began a successful career with Merrill Lynch and later on Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor, where he was known among colleagues not only for his talent and integrity but also for his humor and warm spirit. On April 20, 1996, Lloyd married the love of his life, Dana. Together, they built a home filled with joy, laughter, and care, raising three children: Caroline, Jack, and Lily. Lloyd was endlessly proud to be a husband and father, and poured his heart into creating lasting memories with his children. Those who knew Lloyd will remember his good-humored personality and his natural ability to make others feel uplifted. Whether through a witty remark or his welcoming presence, he made certain those around him were enjoying themselves. His compassion was unmatched, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him. Outside of work and family, Lloyd embraced life's joys with enthusiasm. A dedicated sports fan, he rooted passionately (most of the time) for the New York Jets, New York Yankees, and Arizona Wildcats. He loved time on the lake, relishing days on the water with family, and found great happiness on the golf course, especially alongside his son and friends. Meals and drinks shared with loved ones were among his favorite moments, as they gave him the chance to connect, laugh, and celebrate the bonds he held most dear. Lloyd is survived by his beloved wife, Dana; his children, Caroline (Cole), Jack, and Lily; and his mother, Margaret Marsh. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Marsh III. Lloyd's life was a testament to kindness, joy, and devotion to family. His memory will live on in the love he gave, the laughter he inspired, and the countless lives he touched. A receiving of friends and family will be held on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Comments will be made by friends and family from 3:30 to 4:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road in Arden.
