Barbara Steele Allen (85) passed away peacefully the morning of July 4, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. She has resided in the Phoenix area since arriving in the United States from England in 1962. Barbara was born to Reginald and Susannah Steele on September 23, 1939, at the outset of World War II. She was born and spent the formative years of her life in Newcastle-under-Lyme in the Midlands of England. She was married for 52 years to the love of her life, Warren Foster Allen, who passed away in 2015. She is survived by her three children, Richard (Yuki), Tina (Kevin), and Duncan, 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and her younger brother, Philip. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2955 East Frye Road, Phoenix, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025. A viewing/visitation will be held prior to the services at 9 a.m. Internment will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Logan City Cemetery, 1000 North 1200 East, Logan, Utah. Funeral arrangements by Regency Mortuary, 9850 West Thunderbird Boulevard, Sun City, Arizona.

My connection with Barbara was through her husband, Warren, who was one of my best friends, and also a cousin; he and I were the two oldest grandchildren in the William & Grace Hadfield Family. We kept in touch regularly after we each married and settled in different parts of the country, and as couples, we had our backgrounds as members of the LDS Church that bound us. Barbara was such a wonderful woman, and to my delight I had a special visit with her last summer.
