Bernadine "Berni" Schueler

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bernadine (Berni) Schueler of Sun City, Arizona, on June 21, 2025, at the age of 79. Berni was the loving wife of the late Henry (Bud) Schueler and a caring mother to Keith (Peggy) Schueler and Karen Schueler-Chavez. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Benjamin, Daniel, Rebecca (Andrew), Matthew, and Haley. Berni was also a treasured sister to Dorothy (the late Allen) Umansky, the late Louis Stopka, the late Dennis (Anna) Schueler, and James (Nancy) Schueler. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend to all. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Berni was raised by her mother, Josephine Stopka, alongside her brother and sister. She graduated from Saint Anne's High School and married Bud, her lifelong partner, in the summer of 1965. After raising her children until they reached school age, she worked at Loomis Federal Savings and Loan for 20 years. Berni and Bud took an early retirement, moving to Sun City in 1997. She enjoyed ceramics, line dancing, crocheting, and working in the Bell Silver Shop. Berni's giving and loving spirit will be greatly missed. She was a gracious friend to many, deeply loved her family, and adored her grandchildren. She will always be in our hearts with cherished memories. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at American Lutheran Church, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ.
