Cleo Dillabough Obituary

"She made our lives warmer, brighter, and more beautiful. One stitch, one cookie, one game at a time." Cleo Carolyn Dillabough passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and raised on a farm near Euclid, Cleo learned the values of hard work, creativity, and quiet strength at an early age. In 1964, she married Paul Harry Dillabough, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. Cleo was a gifted professional seamstress who ran a successful business for decades. Her craftsmanship was meticulous and trusted, from custom garments to meaningful projects like reupholstering her son's Firebird. She took pride in every detail and the relationships she built through her work. She was also a phenomenal cook and baker, a fierce Scrabble and card player, and a loving grandmother who brought imagination and delight into every moment with her grandchildren. Cleo was also a gifted artist whose paintings captured both beauty and emotion. Many of her works will be on display during the celebration of her life. Cleo was a woman of deep faith. She served as a leader in the Christian Women's group at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and volunteered at Hohokam Elementary School, helping children learn to read with care and patience. She is survived by her husband, Paul Harry Dillabough; her daughter, Tammy Lynn Jacobson, and her husband, Geoff Jacobson; her son, Michael Paul Dillabough, and his wife, Christina Dillabough; and her cherished grandchildren: Zachary Michael Dillabough (Zack), Nicholas Paul Dillabough (Nick), and Haley Caroline Dillabough. She is also remembered with love by extended family and many friends. Her mother, Gladys Wallace; her father, Lloyd Wallace; and her brother, Danny Wallace, preceded her death. Cleo requested to be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in Sedona, Arizona, a place of deep meaning to her family.
