Dennis Irwin Ostrander

Dennis Irwin Ostrander, 82, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away on September 17, 2025. Born to Irwin Tidwell Ostrander and Norma Jean (Dotzenrod) Ostrander on June 4, 1943, in Waukegan, IL. He was a devoted husband to Barbara J. Ostrander for 46 years. Loving father to Debbie (Mike) Beeman, David (Kristin) Keeling, Dennis (Laura) Ostrander, Michelle (Eddie) Munoz, Jennifer (Randall) Coombes, Debbie (Gary) Goss, Rich Adams, Don (Audrey) Adams and Doug (Lori) Adams, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren in IL, MN, NM and WI.

Dennis was the oldest of 9 kids, including Mike (Sandy) Ostrander, Karen (Harry) Wagner, Janet Ostrander, Jack Ostrander and Jill (Dave) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents - Jean and Irwin Ostrander, sister Gail, brothers Jimmy and Carl, his Stepson Kenny Adams and Grandson Bryan Coombes.

Dennis loved to tell his stories about his younger years being a caddie and the love of golf which continued until the end. Dennis was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan, and him and Barb were in charge of their Chicago Bears Fan Club for many years. Dennis was a US Air Force Veteran, had an early career as a Waukegan Firefighter then moved to El Paso, TX and secured a position with the Fort Bliss Fire Department Garrison Safety Office then officially retired to Sun City West, AZ.

Dennis and Barbara are together again in heaven as Barbara passed away on Saturday September 20, 2025.

A memorial service will be held Thursday October 2, 2025, at Camino Del Sol Funeral Home in Sun City West, AZ with some of their children in attendance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Dennis & Barbara Ostrander
