James Peralta

James Perry Peralta was born in Phoenix Arizona on May 25, 1943 and passed April 27, 2025 at the age of 81. He is survived by 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren who love him deeply. Jim was raised by 2 hardworking parents who passed along their work ethic, love of food and family to him, his 2 older brothers Bob & Dan, and sister Gerry. After graduating from Central High School in 1961 and an initial apprenticeship in the trades, Jim married his wife Kathy, and was recruited to the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He excelled during his training in Hawaii and rose rapidly in the ranks of communication. Upon returning from a distinguished military career in 1970, he met his infant daughter Christie born in 1969 (married to Jeff) and his son Rick born in 1972 (married to Shannon). He continued his career in the trades as general superintendent working with his brothers while continuing his education with top grades at the DeVry Institute of Technology. He continued to learn as a student of life and developed an affinity for machines - about the way things are supposed to work: a kind of genius such as an intrinsic painter or pianist naturally has. He always possessed a witty and sharp mind with clever prose that was regularly displayed on cards he would give his family. Family was always the top priority with a quiet strength, grace, and selflessness. These traits were evident throughout his life, giving without thought for himself or need of reciprocation. He returns to the Earth that gave him to us for a limited time to love and learn from.
