Lien Nguyen Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Lien Huu Quynh Nguyen, who was called to her Heavenly home on September 21, 2025 at 4:05pm, at the age of 72. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Lien passed away leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
Born and raised in Da Lat, Vietnam, Lien carried her Vietnamese roots and close family ties with her throughout all her life. On September, 28th 1987, Lien married the love of her life, Long. In 1988, she gave life to their first daughter, Vy and in 1991, Lien and Long moved to Arizona, where Lien continued to pour her heart into creating a loving family. In 1995, she gave birth to another beautiful baby girl, Jenny.
Lien was the devoted wife of Long, beloved mother of Vy and Jenny with whom she shared a life of deep love and countless adventures. She was the cherished sister of Loc and the loving daughter of Vong and Be and sister of her late brother, Ly, who have all passed before her. The bond she had with her parents and brother Ly was profound and there is comfort in knowing they are now all reunited in Heaven.
As a mother, she dedicated herself completely to raising her daughters, Vy and Jenny. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she created a home that was filled with love, warmth, faith and unconditional support. She was a guiding light in their lives, always there with open arms, a listening ear, and words of encouragement. She also cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and was filled with pride and joy watching them grow.
Lien is survived by her husband: Long Duong, her children: Vy Duong and Jenny Duong, her son-in-laws: Julian Kim and Matthew Nguyen, her grandchildren: Myles Nguyen and Jesslyn Nguyen, and countless friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.
She was a woman of incredible strength, grace, compassion and an impeccable sense of fashion. She dedicated her life to her family and to helping others. She was known for her warmth, kindness, generosity and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Those who knew Lien will never forget her kind heart, her nurturing spirit, and her remarkable ability to put others' happiness above her own. She brought light into every room she entered, and her presence made those around her feel loved and valued. Lien's life was a beautiful example of selflessness, empathy, faith and love. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will endure through the countless lives she touched and the memories we have with her. We will miss her deeply but her spirit will continue to surround and guide us, reminding us every day of the incredible love she gave and the legacy she leaves behind. Your love will live forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 12:00pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
