Michael Charles "Mike" Hamlet July 31, 1946 – September 9, 2025 Michael Charles Hamlet, lovingly known as "Mike," passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 79, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 31, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan. Mike spent his early years in Memphis, Tennessee, where he grew up and attended school. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Manatee out of Long Beach, California. Enlisting on December 29, 1964, and serving until December 28, 1970, he attained the rank of Seaman E-3. During his time in service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal, honors that stand as a testament to his courage and dedication. Family was at the center of Mike's life. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea and Angela. His grandchildren Amanda, Collin, AJ, Ryan, Hailey, and Cole; and his great-grandchildren Alexis and Brody. He is also survived by his brother, Tim Hamlet, who shared a lifelong bond with him. Mike's legacy will be remembered not only through his military service but also through the love, strength, and values he instilled in his family. His memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and traditions passed down through generations. A life of honor, heroic service, and love-Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
