Susan Little Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of G. Susan (Susie) Little, who peacefully left us on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 81 years old.
Susie is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Robert (Bob) Little; her loving daughter, Sandra; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Margaret; her stepdaughter and husband, Joy and Bob; her German family, including Susanne and Bernd; two cherished grandchildren, Mitchell and Sara; two beloved great-grandchildren, Davis and Amelia; and many dear friends.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, to Max Knorr and Gertrud Junghans, Susie spent her early life moving throughout Germany, eventually growing up in Frankfurt before relocating to the United States. After a life rich with back-and-forth adventures and a meaningful career in banking and the medical field, Susie found her tranquil retirement alongside her husband in the beautiful surroundings of Sedona, Arizona.
In Sedona, Susie discovered her passion and found immense joy in helping, walking, and exercising dogs for the Humane Society of Sedona. She cherished the time spent caring for these precious animals, and they reciprocated her love wholeheartedly. It is noteworthy that despite an early life anxiety towards dogs, she fully overcame it through this fulfilling endeavor. She was also a bird lover and cared for and nurtured many birds as pets.
A truly religious and spiritual soul, Susie found a cherished home at the Wayside Bible Chapel, attending services as often as she could. Her church life was incredibly important and fulfilling, and she often praised the dedicated work of the Ministry Team and Staff in the community.
Susie was a fiercely dedicated mother to all her children, and our families were blessed to have her as a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all. The space she leaves behind in our hearts will never be filled.
Visiting hours are Thursday, August 28th, 3pm – 4pm at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel and the Celebration of Life will be held in Sedona at a date and place to be determined in the near future.
