Velden Glen Fails

Velden "Cowboy" Glen Fails, 65, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home on June 18, 2025. Velden was born Nov. 18, 1959 in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Claude H. and Verlis F. Fails. He was a graduate from Snowflake High School in 1977. Velden was a loving husband to Bernadette Winquest-Fails. He was a devoted father to sons, Jeremy (Melanie) Seielstead of Fresno, CA; Brandon (Dixie) Fails of Pueblo, CO; Chisholm (Tracy) Fails of Rye, CO; Jerry Fails of Pueblo, CO; and daughter, Tiffany (Gentry) Penrod of Colorado City, CO. He was a proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren. Siblings, Jerry Fails, Lynna Alas, Verlon Fails, Claudelle Fails and Jodie Fails. He was preceded in death by his father Claude and sister Verlena. Velden was most recently employed as a superintendent with Fann Contracting of Prescott, Arizona. He was a man of few words. Respected by many, he had a purely insightful mind, and he was a loving and devoted husband. He gave the best hugs. He enjoyed fly fishing with his buddies, riding his Harley, playing his guitar, going to yard sales with his sweetie, playing cards with Nonnie, drinking beer, cooking beer biscuits in a Dutch oven and grilling the best steaks in town. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at the Reed Hatch Cemetery, 401 Center St., Taylor, AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held in Prescott at the American Legion, Post 6, on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m., located at 202 S.
