Vicki Manfredi

After 94 wonderful years on this Earth, Vicki (Anna May) Manfredi passed away on January 23, 2025. Originally from Cleveland, OH she was born on February 13, 1930 to Frank and Anna Victor. At the age of 18, her independent and adventurous spirit led her to venture west to attend Arizona State College. She found a love of the desert and mountains that always drew her back to Arizona. Vicki fell for and married Arizona State College football star, Keith Gunville. She and Keith moved to Ohio where Vicki stayed home to raise daughters, Beth and Jene.
In the early 1970's, as a single mom, in Woodland Hills, CA, Vicki purchased her first business, Betty Ingram Preschool in North Hollywood, CA. Vicki married John Manfredi, from the International Manfredi Dairy Company. They moved to Mesa, AZ in 1976 to open Pinewood School, one of the largest and most innovative schools in the area. In 1980, Vicki's adventurous spirit led her and John to Las Vegas, NV to open Manfredi's Italian Deli on Sahara Boulevard catering to locals as well as many prominent entertainers. In 1987, John and Vicki returned to Arizona settling in Scottsdale to enjoy retirement, family, and grandchildren. They traveled throughout Europe, spending summers with John's cousins in Italy, cruised South America, and went on several road trips traveling the southwest. Both John and Vicki were members and involved in St. Bernard's of Clairvaux Catholic Church. They both led and participated in various bible study groups. Vicki's faith was strong and she found comfort in it throughout her life.
Vicki loved hosting dinner parties, setting a beautiful table, and making everyone feel welcome. She was always up for a road trip to the mountains or a nice dinner out. Sunday's were spent watching the "ball games" and making bets with her son-in-law David. She also loved a day of shopping and lunch with one of her girls. Her sense of humor was contagious and we will miss her happy smile.
Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, John Manfredi. Vicki is survived by her two daughters: Beth McConn (David), Jene Lindstrom (Norman); four sweet granddaughters: Renee Haskins, Leah Witkowski (Bryce), Hillary Lindstrom, Samantha Kessler (Ian); and three amazing grandchildren: Preston, Avery and Evie.
