Anne Ferguson Obituary
Anne Doyle Ferguson, 76, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She is survived by her three children, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Justin Mikita), Kelly Ferguson (Cassandra Costley), Benjamin Ferguson, and two grandsons Beckett and Sullivan Ferguson-Mikita.
Annie was born September 25, 1948, in Palo Alto, California to Bernard Patrick Doyle and Edna Clarke Doyle. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Annie Lenehan Doyle and because of that liked to be called Annie. She moved with her family to Albuquerque, NM in 1954. She graduated from Saint Vincent Academy in 1966 and received her RN degree in 1970 from Seton School of Nursing in Colorado Springs, CO. She married Bob Ferguson in 1971. They lived in Montana and Oregon before moving back to Albuquerque in 1977. In Albuquerque Annie worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, Albuquerque Ob-Gyn and retired in 2015 from Women's Specialists of New Mexico.
In 2021 Annie moved to California to be near her sons. She lived at Atria Senior living in Tarzana, CA. Her three children took care of her and were with her when she peacefully passed. Annie touched countless lives with her dedication to nursing and advocacy for women's reproductive health. As a devoted mother, the love for her three kids was one of a kind. Her thoughtfulness, humor, and compassion leave lasting impressions with those who knew and loved her.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Clarke Douglas Doyle. She is survived by her sibling's Alex Beach, Stacey Poindexter, and Luke Doyle (Cynthia). She also leaves behind nephew, Eric Beach (Shanna Jensen), nieces, Katie Poindexter Mesia (Damian), Audrey Poindexter Tancini (Michael), Whitney Doyle Hoang (Court) and Lindsay Doyle Smith (Paul).
A memorial service will be held at Los Poblanos (4803 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, NM 87107), on February 16th, 2025 starting at 9am. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the C.D. Doyle clinic, University of Texas Austin, or the charity of your choice.
