Beverly Schoonover Obituary
Beverly Lacy Schoonover, 92, passed away August 3, 2025, just shy of her 93rd birthday, She was an artist, an educator, a mother and a grandmother. She passed just before her 93rd birthday.
Beverly could be found in her home, her garden, her art studio and her neighborhood. She was a retired professor of Art Education at The University of New Mexico and spent her retirement in a garden...any garden!
She is survived by 2 daughters, Anastasia Sweeney (Anthony Sweeney) and Katherine Dimitroff (Thomas Dimitroff) and 3 grandchildren Liam Sweeney and Jamie and Cassandra Dimitroff. Her husband, Stephen Scott, the light of her Life, preceded her in death, He had one child, Shane Scott, of Great Britain.
